It started as an ordinary day at one of the world’s most secretive intelligence headquarters.

But what unfolded would forever change the history of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). General Faiz Hameed, once revered as the Director General of ISI, now stood disgraced, facing court martial proceedings that would send shockwaves through the nation's military establishment. In a shocking turn of events, intelligence officials unearthed something that had never before been discovered within the agency's ranks—treason.
During a raid on Faiz Hameed’s private residence, an external hard drive was found that contained data so sensitive, it could compromise the entire national security framework. Among the files were secrets about politicians, judges, military personnel, and operations that were meant to stay buried forever. It wasn’t just an intelligence breach—it was a ticking time bomb.
But the discovery didn’t end there. In a series of covert actions by ISI’s counterintelligence cell, investigators began to untangle a much deeper conspiracy. Hidden within this cache of sensitive data were documents directly implicating Faiz Hameed in orchestrating the infamous May 9th attacks—an event that shook the country to its core. One particular instruction given by Hameed to one of the May 9th perpetrators stood out like a scarlet letter: “Attack the arms depot.” The depot housed some of Pakistan's most advanced weaponry, and Faiz Hameed had plotted to dismantle it from within. This was not just recklessness; it was treason.
What had once been an elite career was now revealed as a dark, calculated betrayal. Post-retirement, General Hameed no longer operated as a retired officer but as a self-proclaimed kingpin, determined to tear down the very institution he once swore to protect. His mission? To smear serving military officers, destabilize the country, and erode public trust in the national security apparatus. His methods were insidious: sow chaos through a network of loyal operatives, both serving and retired, in what amounted to a rogue agency within the ISI.
The Master of Disguise
Faiz Hameed’s cunning went beyond merely planting spies or plotting attacks—he was a master of evasion. Even as the walls closed in on him, he took no chances. Knowing well the vulnerabilities of his own agency, Hameed used an old Nokia analogue phone to avoid being detected, outsmarting modern surveillance tools. The simplicity of the device was his shield, preventing his conversations from being tapped or traced by the very people he once commanded. This foresight in security allowed him to communicate freely with his network without the fear of interception, ensuring his plans stayed hidden from the same intelligence machinery he had once led.
Even in jail, Imran Khan was not fully out of Hameed’s reach. Through back channels, a phone was smuggled to the former Prime Minister, allowing him to stay in touch with Hameed. Together, they strategized, using this secret line to orchestrate further chaos. The pair, though separated by prison walls, continued to craft plans to destabilize the nation, sharing information and ideas on how to create more political unrest. Every step was calculated, and every move was intended to undermine the state.
Manipulation, Disinformation, and the Digital Front
While Hameed and Khan crafted strategies behind the scenes, a digital war was simultaneously waged. Knowing the power of media in shaping public perception, Hameed leaked sensitive intelligence through a network of vloggers and YouTubers. These online influencers, many of whom were on his payroll, were fed a steady stream of disinformation aimed at tarnishing the reputations of military officers, politicians, and public figures. This campaign was designed to sow discord among the masses and create an atmosphere of distrust in the state’s institutions.
Through these vloggers, who presented themselves as independent voices, Faiz Hameed waged a war of disinformation. Sensitive details about military operations, government negotiations, and even fabricated conspiracies were broadcast across social media platforms, each designed to embarrass the national security apparatus and stir public outrage. The truth was drowned out by a flood of lies and half-truths, leaving ordinary citizens confused and enraged.
A History of Deceit and the Assassination of Syed Ali Raza Abidi
But this wasn’t Hameed’s first brush with corruption and deceit. His sordid tactics went back to his days as DG-C of ISI in 2016-2017 when he set his sights on Kunwar Moeez Khan, the CEO of Top City, a multi-billion-dollar real estate empire. Under the pretense of national security, Faiz Hameed orchestrated the abduction of Khan from his home in Islamabad, branding him an "MQM-Altaf" terrorist, a false accusation that could have easily led to Khan’s execution. Hameed’s real aim was control—he wanted Top City in his grip, and to do so, he didn’t hesitate to ruin lives.
But the campaign against Kunwar Moeez Khan went much deeper, and darker. Faiz Hameed is now also facing allegations of involvement in the assassination of Syed Ali Raza Abidi, a former MNA from MQM who was gunned down in Karachi. Raza Abidi was not just a political figure—he was Kunwar Moeez Khan's best friend. Hameed, knowing the close relationship between the two, allegedly used Raza Abidi’s murder as a brutal way to pressure Moeez Khan into submission. The cold-blooded assassination was designed to send a clear message: no one is untouchable. Investigations are now circling back to Hameed’s possible role in orchestrating the killing, adding yet another sinister layer to his already extensive criminal legacy.
During a raid on Kunwar Moeez’s house, ISI officers and Punjab Rangers looted millions in cash, jewelry, and luxury vehicles. Many of these officers, now facing their own court martial proceedings, turned against Hameed, offering damning testimony. When Khan confronted Hameed about the stolen wealth, the general smirked and responded with chilling arrogance: “Forget the money, but we will return the vehicles.”
Hameed used the stolen fortune to fund a personal project—a non-starter news channel, fronted by the controversial media figure Aftab Iqbal. The funds, intended to safeguard Pakistan's defense, were instead funneled into this doomed venture, further exposing Hameed’s dangerous ambitions.
A Puppet on Strings
Meanwhile, inside the walls of Bani Gala, Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister, unknowingly danced to Hameed's tune. One night, his wife, Bushra Bibi, approached him with a mysterious claim.
“I have an intuition,” she said, her voice filled with certainty. “There are bugs in our house.”
The very next day, Bushra Bibi led Khan directly to the hidden surveillance devices. To the former Prime Minister, it seemed like divine intervention, further cementing his belief in his wife's spiritual foresight. But in reality, Bushra Bibi was following orders from Faiz Hameed, who had installed the bugs himself to maintain control over every aspect of Khan’s life. Bushra had become Hameed’s perfect asset, a tool through which he could manipulate Pakistan's most powerful man.
But it wasn’t just Khan’s home that Hameed infiltrated—he infiltrated his entire political career. From the seemingly irrational appointment of Usman Buzdar as Chief Minister of Punjab to the Al Qadir Trust mega-corruption scandal, Bushra Bibi, Malik Riaz, and Faiz Hameed worked together to keep Khan on a leash, using him as a puppet to further their own corrupt agendas.
The Agent of Chaos
Faiz Hameed’s ambitions, once focused on becoming Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, turned darker when he was passed over for the role. If he couldn’t control the military from the inside, he decided to control it from the outside—through chaos. Hameed became an agent of disorder, manipulating every sector of society. His network of corruption extended to businessmen, politicians, media houses, and real estate tycoons, all of whom he extorted in the billions.
Post-retirement, Faiz Hameed’s role in fomenting chaos became even more apparent. He worked tirelessly behind the scenes, even speaking with Khan while he was in jail, instructing him to plot strategies that would destabilize the country further. Hameed’s orders reached far and wide, from Imran Khan’s jail cell to the Chief Minister of KPK, whom he instructed to stoke unrest.
And what of his wealth? Hameed’s sprawling farmhouse in Chakri stood as a testament to his greed and corruption, a grotesque symbol of the billions he siphoned from the nation. His fall was inevitable, and now, as he faces the looming prospect of a court martial, his empire of deceit is crumbling.
The Fall of the General
The discovery of Hameed’s treasonous acts, orchestrated under the guise of protecting national security, has left Pakistan reeling. As court martial proceedings loom, and with evidence mounting, the disgraced general could become the first military officer in the country’s history to face the ultimate punishment—the noose.
Faiz Hameed’s story is not just one of personal downfall but a warning of the dangers of unchecked power. From revered protector to ruthless betrayer, Hameed’s transformation from the country’s most powerful intelligence chief to its most infamous traitor is a chilling reminder of how ambition, when left to fester, can lead even the mightiest to ruin.
